Today at 4:27pm I checked my mail and found my fingerprint clearance card! Now the only thing I have to wait on is "protocol" from the higher-ups. They don't have protocol for a client working with children in a behavioral health setting. But step 2 is complete.
Step 1: Express my interest in the job
Step 2: Obtain a fingerprint clearance card
Step 3: Wait for protocol and approval
Step 4: Start working!
One of the things I talked about with the art therapist today is the fact that I may be triggered by some of the kids' behaviors. Because of this, I need to have counseling in place as soon as possible. So on tomorrow's agenda: call my case manager about counseling.
